“How It Works”

We’ve had a few members asking how to place bets with more than one horse in the same race.

If betting online you can click on more than one horse in each race and they will be added to a betting slip. At the bottom of the betting slip you’ll be able to see “Multiples” which will show the number of doubles, trebles etc as we indicate when listing the bets.

You can then select your chosen stake and bet win or each way. You can change the stake for the different betting line, be it the doubles, trebles or five folds, that is entirely up to you. Please note one or two online bookmakers may not work this way, but from experience Skybet, Bet365, Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, William Hill and a number of others do.

If betting in a betting shop, then you can simply write out a betting slip copying our advised tips and write the number of bets and unit stake. The betting shop assistant will also be able to help.

Here is an example of a bet advised, combining all the possible multiples bets in Doubles and Acca’s.
Saturday 16th November:

12.05 Cheltenham: Thyme Hill WON 11/8 < 6/4 & Dancing On My Own
12.40 Cheltenham: Mick Pastor & Allmankind WON 11/4 < 5/1
1.15 Cheltenham: Wholestone WON 13/8 < 7/4 & Poker Play
1.50 Cheltenham: Ramses De Teille & West Approach WON 11/4 < 4/1
2.10 Lingfield: Magic Lily & Scentasia WON 11/8 < 3/1

We advised 40 Win Doubles & 32 Win Five Folds. – landing 10 Win Doubles and a Superb 5 Fold.

Five Timer to Starting Price – 207/1
Five Timer to Advised Prices – 824/1

We hope this helps those of you that aren’t used to betting this way.

  1. I’m trying to work out the points put on as your example shows put on for 40 win doubles and 32 win 5 fold. So that’s 72 points on? They’d have to be small points . So if point was 50p that’s £36. What would winnings be

    1. Dear Colin,

Yes, this example would equate to 72 bets in total, so you can amend your stake accordingly.

The Five Fold itself paid 207/1 at starting prices and 824/1 to advised prices, which were freely available at the time.
As well as 10 Doubles being landed..
